The ‘Borail Eco-camp’ is your chance to experience the pristine Borail Wildlife Sanctuary’ for the first time ever’. You can stay here at the campsite run by the local community of Indiranagar, where the package contains;
• stay in camps / Bamboo huts,
• delicious fresh local food &
• activities like nature walk, forest trek, zip-lining, Burma Bridge and much more..

Supported by Cachar forest Division of Assam Forest Department, the ‘Borail Eco-camp’ is a Community initiative of Indiranagar village, that is a small hamlet of 32 families situated at the fringe of the ‘Borail forest’, on the banks of Doloo river. Of Khasi origin, the villagers are a judicious mix of traditional practices and modern thought process brought about by education. The youngsters all speak English, sing Khasi songs and are expert at climbing tall supari trees and catching fish with bare hands.


Borail Wildlife Sanctuary

The Borail Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the lesser known protected areas and a hidden treasure amongst the luscious green forests in Assam. Located in the Barak river valley in Southern Assam, the sanctuary also houses indigenous people who have been leading a nature integrated lifestyle and are keen to showcase their native culture and traditional practices. Here’s a chance to experience this pristine natural Shangri-la and create once in a lifetime memories.
